HO.C.C.EY POOL Rules
Entry Fees and Draft dates
1) Entry deadline is the third Sunday in Sept. (Sept. 18, 2011) @ 6:00 PM
2) Entry Fee is $50.00 plus salary cap penalties. (explained later in the rules)
3) Your may have as many as 2 owners present at the draft. One must act as GM and announce your picks.
4) Draft day is the last Sunday of Sept. each year. (Sept. 25, 2011) Registration @ 4:00, Draft 4:30 SHARP. Except this year cause the NHL and NHLPA are greedy bastards.
Picking Teams
1) Once you have paid your base price of $50.00, you will be asked to draw an nhl city at random.
2) All the cities picked will then be thrown back into the pot, and re-drawn to determine the draft order.
3) The first city drawn will be picking last in the first round.
4) When there are 2 cities left, we will draw the first overall pick next.
Salary Cap & Over-Cap Penalties
1) Each team has a soft salary cap of $70,000,000. If your under, no problem. If your over, its gonna cost ya!!!
2) $2.00/million over upto $80 million, then $5.00/million over after that.
3) All players salaries count towards the cap.
Drafting Players, Point Calculations & Player Movement
1) The draft will start at 4:30 PM. If you are late you will be assigned a city, and put in the last pick position.
if you miss the first round, you will be drafting last in the round you get in, and you can fill in empty spots a the end of the draft!!!
2) Each team will be given 30 seconds to make your pick, if you are longer, you will be skipped and moved to the last pick of the round.
3) Each team must pick 6 forwards, 4 d-men, and 2 goalies. you will also be picking 4 reserve players (any pos.)
4) Points will be calculated as follows: Fwds pnts = Goals+Assists+PPG+SHG+GWG+Shootout GW.
Dfnc pnts = Goals+Assists+PPG+SHG+GWG+Shootout GW+(+/-).
Gltndrs = Wins+Shutouts+Goals+Assists+(SVS*.05)-(GA*.10).
5) Only the top 6 fwds, 4 dfnc, and 2 gltndrs points will count in the standings.
6) Farm team players will automatically be moved by officepools, if they are out performing players in your regular line up.
Prize Payout
Prizes will be given for: Team that finishes in 1st place.
Team that finishes in 2nd place.
Team that finishes in 3rd place.
In the case of a tie, prizes will be split between tied teams. For example: If two teams are tied for 1st, then 1st and 2nd place prizes will be added together, then divided by two. No second place will be awarded, and 3rd place will recieve 3rd place prize.
Other prizes may be awarded, such as Weekly Winners, Top Fwd, Top Dfnc, Top Goalie...etc, depending on the number of entries.
